Flyglobespan, the low cost airline based at Edinburgh, Scotland, started operations in 2002 and is a wholy oned sudidiary of The Globespan Group Plc, a company dating from 1974.

Tha airline was named Airline of the Year 2005 by airport operator BAA Scotland and now has a fleet of 11 aircraft.
